How to obtain Ethics and Anti-corruption commission (EACC) clearance in Kenya

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION FOR CLEARANCE FROM EACC
  1. Applicant to fill in self-declaration form in duplicate (two copies) and attach a copy of identity card or passport.
  2. Completed form to be signed by the applicant and the signature be witnessed by a Commissioner for Oaths or Magistrate.
  3. Upon submission of the completed form, the details are verified and acknowledgment of the application is done by stamping on the copy of the application which is retained by the applicant.
  4. Completed form can be submitted in person or may be dropped on behalf of the applicant at the EACC Head Office at Integrity Centre, Nairobi or at any EACC Regional Office in Nyeri, Eldoret, Mombasa, Garissa, and Kisumu. Please do not submit the form online.
  5. No certificate is issued; however, the Commission will submit to the employing agency/panel a confidential report on all short listed applicants.
  6. The forms can be downloaded from the Commission’s website; www.eacc.go.ke or can be picked from the Commission’s Head Office and Regional Offices.
NB. It is an offence under S.46 (1) (d) of the Leadership and Integrity Act, 2012 to provide false  information to the Commission which is punishable by a fine of Kshs.5 million or imprisonment for a term of 5years or both.

Applying for a Kenyan Passport

The Immigration Department has introduced new rules that will take effect on May 1st 2015 for citizens who wish to apply, replace or renew a Kenyan passport. From now citizens will have to fill the application form online, pay the passport fees via MPESA beforehand and then download and print the filled application. With the new rules the Immigration Department has shifted the cost of printing the application form to citizens while also going cashless. With the cash that immigration will save on printing one would have hoped that they would make the passport fees cheaper but they have instead added 50 shillings to each of the previous fees. Kenya Imports Documents Required - Customs Clearance

1.1 Import declaration form An IDF must be applied for and obtained from the Kenya Revenue Authority for any Commercial Importation. The Importer is responsible for applying for the IDF but may use a clearing and forwarding agent to consult or input this into the ORBUS system.
