Helb Clearance/Compliance Certificate

A HELB compliance certificate is a document that shows an employer or a bank that a beneficiary of Helb loan for student is servicing their loans.

To get the Helb Compliance Certificate for beneficiaries of Helb, you should go to Anniversary Towers Building in Nairobi which is located opposite University of Nairobi main campus on University Way along Monrovia Street.

In Anniversary Towers, the issues about helb compliance and helb clearance certificates are sorted on the Ground Floor Office. The security officers on the Ground Floor will direct you to this office. To enter, you require to show your National ID/Passport. 

While inside the helb offices, take a ticket of compliance certificate and fill a form of taking the compliance form. You do not need to attach anything to the request for helb compliance certificate form. Await your turn. There are over six counters that serve visitors in this office.
For beneficiaries of HELB, to get a Compliance Certificate, you pay no fee.

When your form will be taken by the counter helb officials, in case there are no issues, you will be sent to Anniversary Towers 13th Floor to pick your Compliance Certificate with a duly signed request form from Ground Floor.

Application requirements

If you were NOT A BENEFICIARY of Government of Kenya/ HELB university education sponsorship scheme, please provide the following:

·         Duly filled Enquiry Form

·         Letter by the applicant confirming they did not benefit from MOE/HELB Loan

·         Copy of your high school examination certificate

·         University/College transcripts and Graduation certificate

·         Copy of national ID (both sides)

·         Employer appointment letter

·         A bank slip of Ksh.1000 paid to
